Hi there, my name is Esther but you can call me Estee!
I’m a freelance illustrator/designer, mum of two, living in South London surrounded by the lovely sounds of Parakeets! 🦜  Â
After working in Children's publishing and brand licensing, I took a break from my career to focus on raising my young family. Discovering new picture books as a new mum rekindled my love for children’s book illustrations, and a lack of representation in the greeting card business led me to create an online greeting card/print shop, representing and reflecting the lives of black and mixed heritage families.
I’m mostly self-taught and I always start with a pencil sketch then I finish my illustrations digitally with textured details. I love using bold and minimal colour palettes. When I’m drawing new characters I like to use the landscape around me as inspiration, the interesting people I meet, and always with diversity and inclusion at the forefront, adding a touch of humour, wherever I can! ​​​​​​​
